3M™ Double-Coated Tape
3M™ Double Coated Tapes are engineered with adhesive on both sides of paper, film or tissue. This increases the dimensional stability of the adhesive for easy handling and application. Depending on your production volume, you can apply tape by hand or with 3M's automatic high volume dispensers. Select paper, polyester film or other synthetic carriers to help meet your special needs. Different adhesives—rubber, silicone or acrylic—can be on opposite sides of the carrier to join different materials. Your choice of properties include high temperature resistance, conformability to irregular surfaces, high initial adhesion, high shear strength, and more.

3m™ Double Coated Paper Tape (Product # 410)

  • Has a mirror smooth surface that bonds extremely well to clean, smooth surfaces
  • It is often used in the printing industry for splicing.
  • Works great for bonding grips on racquets and tools, starting paper, foil and film on starter cores, and for attaching outserts on medicine bottles.
  • It has an easy release paper liner.
  • Resists heat to 200 degrees F.

  • Rugged double coated polyester tape is that is flexible so it will conform to your product.
  • It adheres to most surfaces, including plastic.
  • 1 mil polyester film has high tack and good initial adhesion.
  • works for attaching outserts on pharmaceutical bottles.
